Edgewood Center

  • The Edgewood Center for Children and Families (“Edgewood”) is the place to begin for any child or youth to get the mental health care, social services, and academic support they need from highly trained, welcoming professionals.

  • Edgewood is launching a new program called “A Place to Begin”, a hotline for anyone seeking mental health resources for themselves or a loved one. The goal of the program is to help connect callers to the right resource for their needs, and to make navigating our care system easier.

    In order to provide callers with a good experience, Edgewood wants to build a knowledge base that their staff can use during calls to quickly identify the right information.

    The project will likely entail:

    Conducting stakeholder interviews with Edgewood staff to understand the goals and needs of the program.

    Researching and recommending platforms for the knowledge base.

    Deliverable #1: Create a “customer service strategy” to outline the desired experiences for Edgewood staff & callers.

    Deliverable #2: Recommendation of a low-tech platform Edgewood should use for the knowledge base and how they should structure it.

SF Rising

  • San Francisco Rising builds the political power of working-class communities and communities of color in San Francisco to lead the way for democratic governance that prioritizes racial, economic and environmental justice.

  • SF Rising is excited to partner with a Full Circle Fund project team to create a 2023 annual report! Annual reports are an important way for organizations to talk about their impact, energize their communities, and inspire new volunteers and donors.

    The FCF team will be responsible for creating the outline of the impact report and collecting all of the information that will be shared.

    The project will likely entail:

    Conducting stakeholder interviews to understand what is important to include in the report

    Collaborating with SF Rising staff to create additional content

    Deliverable #1: Synthesis of existing qualitative data and quantitative data

    Deliverable #2: Stories for impact report collected via interviews.

    Deliverable #3: Outline of annual report

    Deliverable #4: Documentation of the entire process so that SF Rising can replicate it in future years.

    Optional: Identifying the best platform for designing the annual report.

R.O.C.K

  • The mission of R.O.C.K. is to nurture the healthy development of children by listening attentively to their needs and by providing opportunities to those who might not otherwise have access.

  • Collaborate with ROCK SF to redesign their website. Websites are an important way for nonprofits to share the impact of their work, and bring in new donors, volunteers, employees, and clients.

    R.O.C.K. wants their website to be much easier to navigate and do a better job of sharing the story of what they do.

    The FCF team will be responsible for rethinking the content/structure of the website and R.O.C.K will ask their website developer to implement the recommended changes.

    The project will likely entail:

    Conducting stakeholder interviews with staff and volunteers to understand what they want to see on the website.

    Review the existing website (content + structure) and identify content to be removed or added.

    Deliver #1: Create goals for the website based on stakeholder interviews.

    Deliverable #2: Detailed list of recommended changes for the website.

    Optional: Research and identify alternative website hosting platforms that might be easier for R.O.C.K staff to maintain and update.

Roots of Success

  • To prepare youth and adults from communities with high rates of poverty and unemployment for environmental jobs and career pathways and to become activists and leaders who can address environmental challenges and injustices in their communities and society more broadly.

  • Roots of Success has received a $1 million grant to expand their apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship program throughout the state of California.

    They want to partner with an FCF project team to develop an outreach and messaging strategy to help them double the number of partners and participants in their program.

    The project will likely entail:

    Conducting stakeholder interviews with staff to understand the program and the goals of the expansion.

    Conduct stakeholder interviews with other apprenticeship programs to learn about best practices for scaling a program.

    Conduct stakeholder interviews with current Roots of Success program to learn about their experiences.

    Deliverable #1: Synthesis of best practices and feedback collected from stakeholder interviews.

    Deliverable #2: Partnership development process that Roots of Success can use to scale their outreach efforts.

    Deliverable #3: Updated collateral & pitch that Roots of Success can utilize in partnership development process.

Spokeland Bike Collective

  • Spokeland is a nonprofit, community-driven bicycle cooperative that aims to reach out locally and foster Oakland unity. We support the use of bicycles as a viable means of transportation as well as a healthy recreational activity.

  • Spokeland is committed to making their services and training available and accessible to underrepresented and underserved community members. They are excited to partner with an FCF project team to explore potential ideas or opportunities for generating more revenue, and increasing financial support from the Bay Area community so that they can continue the great work they do!

    The project will likely entail:

    Conducting stakeholder interviews with staff and volunteers to understand Spokeland’s theory of change, current revenue streams, and financial situation.

    Identifying similar organizations to explore other models that are working well.

    Deliverable #1: Research and identify opportunities for creating new revenue streams.

    Deliverable #2: Recommendations for improving existing revenue streams.

    Optional: Give feedback on their existing financial statements.

Foundation for a College Education

  • Foundation for a College Education’s mission is to increase the number of first-generation, low-income students of color from East Palo Alto and similar communities who graduate from a four-year college or university.

  • Foundation for a College Education (FCE) is hoping to increase their social media presence to raise awareness about their organization and bring in more support from the community and donors.

    They are excited to partner with a FCF project team to develop a social media strategy that maximizes the impact of their efforts.

    The project will likely entail:

    Conducting stakeholder interviews with staff to understand their goals for social media marketing.

    Analyze the performance of FCE’s social media and talk to current audience members to gather feedback.

    Researching social media best practices for nonprofits.

    Deliverable #1: Create a social media strategy for the organization that their team can execute. The strategy should take into consideration the time and resources available.

    Include recommendations for platforms, messaging, frequency, etc.

    Deliverable #2: Templates that FCE can use designed around their brand guidelines.

    Deliverable #3: Recommendations for free tools that FCE can use to more efficiently manage their social media marketing.
